With Halloween being just around the corner have you carved your pumpkin in readiness for the spookiest event of the year? We’d love to see your pumpkin photos.
Your costume is ready and the house is decorated to welcome the trick or treaters but there is one thing left to do and that’s to carve your pumpkin.
From creepy scary faces to toothy smiles we are all getting a little more creative when it comes to carving our pumpkins.
Creating your design
Are you struggling to draw a design onto your pumpkin?
It’s not a good idea to carve your pumpkin free-style, we would suggest drawing your design onto paper first or printing a template from the internet, there are many to choose from. Choose a face to match the shape of your pumpkin.
Once you have drawn or printed off your design, simply attach the image to the pumpkin with small nails or thumb tacks, about 1/4 inch apart along all the lines of the image. After you have completed your outline, remove the drawing and the tacks and cover all the holes with baking powder. The baking powder will allow you to see your image more clearly. Now connect all the dots left by the tacks with a marker pen ready for cutting.
Pumpkin carving around the globe has begun and we would love to see your spooky creations. If you have any pumpkin photos you would like to share with us simply upload them to our facebook page, tweet them to @silvertrophy1 or send them by email to email@example.com. we would love to see them.
Halloween would just not be the same without an intricately carved pumpkin sitting on your front porch.
Happy Halloween from all the team at silvertrophy.com!
